The S468 bezel is stepless — it rotates smoothly without clicks in both directions. This is the specific type used on aviation slide-rule bezels, where continuous rotation in either direction allows mathematical calculations (speed, distance, fuel consumption) using the bezel scale in relation to the dial minute track.

Stepless rotation differs from the 60-click or 120-click bezels on dive watches — those click bezels are designed for elapsed time marking at specific intervals and are locked in position between clicks. A stepless bezel can be positioned at any angle, which is appropriate for calculation-based use but provides no tactile confirmation of position.
