Tank Case Design

The tank case is a rectangular case with straight sides — a format originating in early 20th-century European pocket watch design adapted to wristwatches. The SANDA 1108 at 27×28mm is nearly square — the width and height are nearly equal, creating a compact dial that reads as a dress watch rather than a statement piece. The 9031 at 24×24mm is fully square.

At 7mm and 6.4mm thickness respectively, both cases sit flat under cuffs. The polished zinc alloy catches light and creates the bright finish associated with more expensive dress watches.

Roman Numeral Dial

Bold Roman numerals extend across the full dial face — I through XII at all twelve positions. The inner decorative bezel frame creates a concentric ring detail between the Roman numerals and the case edge. The blue sword hands contrast against the white dial at any lighting angle. No date window — a clean three-hand layout.

Blue Sword Hands and Gem Crown

The blue sword-style hands are a specific design choice — the blue colouration is a deliberate period reference to blued steel hands on 19th and 20th-century European pocket and dress watches. The sapphire-blue gem set in the threaded crown adds a jewellery-adjacent accent to the case side.
