The grey wood-grain frame (C5) is the most visually distinctive option — a textured wood-pattern finish on the TR90 frame that gives a different character from the standard black, tortoise or white options.
TR90 is a flexible thermoplastic rubber — the frame bends under pressure rather than snapping. At 140mm overall width the 1117 fits between the narrow Klay 0110 (141mm — similar) and the wider KN0910 (151mm). The 128mm temples are slightly longer than standard, providing more contact surface along the side of the head for a more secure hold during movement.
The TAC lens thickness is specified at 1.1mm — a standard construction for sports polarized lenses at this price. The 1.1mm specification indicates a standard single-curvature lens rather than a thinner fashion lens. For active outdoor use this is appropriate — thinner lenses are more prone to flexing under impact.
