Salmon: A warm pink-orange dial with wave guilloché texture. Salmon is the most collected and sought-after colour in the vintage dress watch community — warm, unusual and specifically associated with European formal watchmaking. On a regulator with guilloché, salmon creates the highest-end formal character of the four configurations.
Black: A black guilloché dial with silver accents — the most assertive and highest-contrast configuration. The wave texture is visible as subtle directional light play against the dark field.
Green: Rich green guilloché with the regulator layout — a vibrant and distinctive vintage character. Green dress watches are specifically sought and the combination of green and regulator is unusual at any price.
Silver: A bright silver guilloché dial — the most formally conservative and most legible of the four. Maximum contrast between markers and dial field.
A regulator is a specific dial layout from precision horology — historically used in master clocks and watchmakers’ shop regulators where the separation of hours, minutes and seconds onto independent displays eliminated the gear interactions that caused small inaccuracies when all three shared a single arbor.
On the Farasute 5336B:
Upper sub-dial: Hours, displayed with Roman numerals. The hour hand completes two revolutions per day.
Central hand: Minutes, sweeping the full dial circumference. The central minute hand is the primary time-reading element — the most prominent and easily read.
Lower sub-dial at 6 o’clock: Small seconds, continuously running.
The three separate displays create a dial architecture visually unlike any standard three-hand watch. The eye reads the regulator differently — minute hand first for time, hour sub-dial for confirmation. Once familiar, regulators are as legible as conventional layouts; initially they require a moment’s adjustment.
Regulator vs jump hour: This watch is a regulator — not a jump hour. A jump hour mechanism causes the hour display to advance instantaneously at each hour change rather than sweeping smoothly. The Farasute NL-007B jump hour uses a different mechanism. The 5336B has a continuously sweeping hour sub-dial hand, not an instantaneous hour jump.
At 7.95mm the Farasute 5336B is exceptionally thin for a hand-wound mechanical watch. For comparison:
The 7.95mm profile places the 5336B among the thinnest mechanical dress watches available under $400. The slim profile is enabled by the Seagull manual-wind movement’s compact architecture — without an automatic rotor the case needs no additional height for winding mechanism clearance.
At 7.95mm the watch disappears under any shirt or jacket cuff and sits flat against the wrist with no perceptible case height. For buyers who prioritise an unobtrusive wrist presence on formal occasions, 7.95mm is the correct specification.
The wave guilloché pattern — flowing curved parallel lines creating a ripple or wave surface — creates directional light play that shifts as the viewing angle changes. The wave pattern softens the mechanical formality of the regulator layout, creating a dial that is technically precise in its information architecture but visually warm and organic in its texture.
The Seagull hand-wound movement requires daily crown winding — typically 20–25 half-turns to bring the mainspring to full tension. For buyers who have not owned a hand-wound mechanical watch, the daily winding ritual is part of the appeal: a moment of deliberate engagement with the mechanism. Without winding the watch will stop within 40–45 hours of last winding.
The Farasute range includes both the 5336A and 5336B. The 5336A has two dedicated pages — a product page and a review article — at combined 2,325 impressions. The 5336B at 1,537 impressions is the second most-searched Farasute dress model. Both are regulator-layout manual-wind Seagull watches in the same family. Check the 5336A pages for the specific dial and specification differences between the A and B variants before publishing to ensure clear differentiation.
The 5336B is built for:
vs. Farasute 5336A — The sibling regulator model. Check both pages for specific dial and specification differences.
vs. Farasute NL-007B Jump Hour — The 5336B is a regulator (sweeping hour sub-dial); the NL-007B is a jump hour (instantaneous hour advance). Both are unusual time display architectures — different mechanisms and different visual effects.
vs. Sugess S455 Blue Goldstone — The Sugess is 8.9mm with ST2130 automatic, no-marker fumé dial. The 5336B is 7.95mm with Seagull manual-wind and regulator layout — thinner, different complication.
vs. Carnival 8017 Bauhaus — The Carnival is 8mm with Miyota automatic and Bauhaus minimal design. The 5336B is 7.95mm with manual-wind and regulator dial — both ultra-thin but completely different aesthetics.

Very beautiful watch in the tradition of regulators. The dial is superb with all these reflections and nuances. Grace with sapphire glass, the gray dial appears to be silver. One thing that is greatly appreciated is the thinness of the watch, made possible by a rotorless movement. I wear it with great pleasure. The transaction was flawless +++++
Very nice, a high standard of finish. Super slim, elegant. The smoothest hand winding watch i own! I'm very impressed, my first farsute, i'll buy more from this brand for sure.
Great!
This is a stunning watch!
Beautiful piece. Absolutely worth it.
