The Addiesdive AD2520 is a 40mm VK64 mecaquartz chronograph — ceramic tachymeter bezel, bubble K1 mineral crystal, BGW9 luminous markers and hands, screw-down crown and pushers, 316L stainless steel case and bracelet, 13mm thickness, 48mm lug-to-lug, 128g, 100m water resistance. VK64 Mecaquartz — What It Is

The VK64 is a Seiko Instruments mecaquartz chronograph caliber — the same hybrid architecture as the VK63 used in the Watchdives WD16500 V2 and BERNY 2845M, but with a different sub-dial layout.

Mecaquartz explained: The timekeeping is quartz-controlled for accuracy (±20 seconds/month). The chronograph function is driven by a mechanical module — when you press the start pusher, a mechanical lever train engages, producing the tactile click and mechanical feel of a traditional chronograph pusher. The chronograph seconds hand sweeps at 1/5-second intervals (5 beats per second) rather than ticking once per second.

Paint-Splash Sub-Dial Design

Ceramic Bezel

The tachymeter scale allows speed calculation over a known distance using the chronograph: start the chrono when you pass a known distance marker, stop it at the next, and read the speed from the bezel scale.

Bubble K1 Crystal

The domed K1 mineral bubble crystal gives the watch a vintage instrument character — the domed profile creates a slightly magnified view of the centre of the dial. K1 is a hardened mineral glass, more scratch-resistant than standard mineral but below sapphire hardness. The hardened coating adds further surface protection.
