The Seestern Sub 600T V3 is a 40mm NH35A automatic dive watch — 20ATM water resistance, sapphire crystal, Super BGW9 luminous on hands, markers, bezel triangle and date wheel, 316L stainless steel case and bracelet, 13.5mm thickness, 48mm lug-to-lug, 175g. Twelve dial and bezel colour variants across standard steel bezel and ceramic bezel options.

NH35A Movement

The Seiko NH35A is the current production version of Seiko’s core automatic caliber — hacking (seconds stop for precise time-setting) and hand-winding (can be wound via the crown without wearing the watch). 21,600 vph, 24 jewels, approximately 41-hour power reserve. The NH35A is one of the most globally serviced movements available — watchmakers worldwide are familiar with it.

The Sub 600T V3 uses the NH35A with date display at 3 o’clock. The date wheel carries BGW9 lume — the luminous date wheel is a specific feature of the Sub 600T that not all dive watches include.


Super BGW9 Full Coverage Lume

BGW9 emits a blue-white glow after light exposure — the “Super” designation indicates a higher-grade application. On the Sub 600T V3, BGW9 is applied to:

  • All hour markers
  • Hour and minute hands
  • Seconds hand
  • Bezel dive triangle at 12 o’clock
  • Date wheel

Full coverage including the bezel marker and date wheel is more thorough than many 200m divers at this price. In darkness the entire dial information set — time, elapsed minutes and date — is legible from the lume alone.


40mm at 48mm Lug-to-Lug

At 40mm the Sub 600T V3 is compact for a 200m dive watch — most competing models run 41–44mm. The 48mm lug-to-lug at 40mm diameter creates wearable proportions for wrists from approximately 16.5cm upward. The 175g weight is substantial — the 316L bracelet and 20ATM-rated case contribute to the mass. For buyers who prefer a lighter dive watch, the 40mm case in the BERNY range uses a lighter bracelet construction.


Ceramic vs Steel Bezel — Which to Choose

Steel bezel variants: The standard construction. Steel bezels can show contact marks over time but can be polished to restore appearance. The colour palette on steel bezel variants includes the full range of dial colours.

Ceramic bezel variants: Ceramic is harder than steel — it resists scratching from keys, rings and normal contact that marks steel. Ceramic cannot be polished if it chips, but is unlikely to scratch in normal use. The ceramic bezel variants add the “Ceramic” suffix to the colour name (Black Ceramic, Teal Blue Ceramic etc).

For a working dive watch used regularly near hard surfaces, ceramic is the lower-maintenance choice. For occasional use or buyers who prefer the option to polish away marks, steel is appropriate.
