Panda Eye Dial

The panda eye dial uses a cream white background with two black circular sub-dials — the strong tonal contrast between the cream field and dark sub-dials creates the pattern that gives the style its name. The layout is balanced: weekday sub-dial at 9 o’clock, date/secondary time zone sub-dial at 3 o’clock, central three-hand time display.

Dual Time Zone — How It Works

The secondary time zone is displayed via an inner 12-hour ring on the right sub-dial. The pusher at the 2 o’clock position adjusts this inner ring independently — pressing it advances the secondary time zone in one-hour increments without affecting the main time display.

This is not a standard GMT hand pointing to a 24-hour bezel — it is an inner ring GMT system. The advantage is a compact dual-time display contained within the right sub-dial. The 12-hour inner ring rather than a 24-hour scale means AM/PM differentiation requires knowing whether the displayed hour is morning or afternoon — common to inner-ring GMT systems.

Tachymeter Bezel
