Ceramic Bezel
The ceramic bezel insert is scratch-resistant — harder than the aluminium inserts used on most affordable dive watches. The unidirectional rotation allows elapsed-time tracking — the bezel can only advance counterclockwise, ensuring accidental bumps produce a conservative overestimate of elapsed time.

At 49mm lug-to-lug the Phylida 40mm has a longer lug spread than many watches at the same diameter — 9mm of lug extension beyond the case diameter on each side.
