The PD-1725 is built for presence: a rectangular stainless steel case with exposed screws, a busy open-worked dial with a honeycomb base, bold applied 12/6 numerals, sword hands, chronograph sub-dials, and a checkered-flag accent for the racing theme. It’s a statement sports watch that wears large and loud. For more chronographs, see the Farasute Trackmaster I automatic chronograph.
Inside is the Japanese Seiko Instruments (TMI) VK64 meca-quartz movement. Meca-quartz pairs quartz timekeeping (accurate, low-maintenance, battery-powered) with a mechanical chronograph module — so when you run the stopwatch, the chrono seconds hand sweeps smoothly and snaps back to zero instantly, like a mechanical chronograph. Quartz reliability, a much nicer chronograph feel.
The open-worked (skeleton-style) dial is a decorative openworked design that shows structure and depth — it’s a styling choice over the meca-quartz movement, not a mechanical skeleton. It sits under a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. The 316L stainless steel case (PVD-coated on the black and gold variants) rides on a flexible silicone strap with a pin buckle.
Fine for rain, splashes, and hand-washing, but not for swimming or diving. It has chronograph pushers — never operate them or the crown near water.

A large rectangular sports watch: 42mm case, 14.7mm thick, on a 24mm strap, fitting wrists up to about 230mm (23cm / 9 in) circumference. It wears big and tall — best on medium-to-large wrists. The silicone strap trims to length; note in the listing how the buckle adjusts.
A meca-quartz movement needs little beyond a battery every couple of years (quartz runs the time; the chrono module is mechanical). Keep the crown pushed fully in, and — whatever the final water rating — never press the pushers or pull the crown near water. Rinse the silicone strap after sweaty or salty wear; it’s low-maintenance and won’t crack like leather. Sapphire resists scratches well, but a hard knock can still chip any crystal.
Is the PD-1725 automatic or quartz? It’s meca-quartz — a Japanese VK64 movement that combines quartz timekeeping with a mechanical chronograph module. Battery-powered (not automatic), but the chrono seconds sweeps and snaps back like a mechanical chronograph.
Is it a skeleton watch — can I see the movement? The dial is open-worked in a skeleton style for looks and depth, over the meca-quartz movement. It isn’t a mechanical skeleton where the gear train is exposed.
Is the crystal sapphire? Yes — sapphire crystal, highly scratch-resistant.
Can I swim or dive with it? No. Its rating (listed as 50m by the spec sheet) covers rain, splashes, and hand-washing only — not swimming or diving — and you should never operate the pushers or crown near water. It isn’t a diver and isn’t “waterproof.”
Is the gold version solid gold? No — the gold and black variants are PVD-coated stainless steel (rose-gold-tone / black), not solid or plated precious metal.
Is this affiliated with a luxury brand? No. It’s a Pagani Design — an independent brand that signs its own watches. The racing-skeleton styling is its own; it isn’t affiliated with or a copy of any other brand.
