The Carnival Dual Time Zone is an automatic dress watch powered by an original Seagull 25-jewel movement, presenting five simultaneous functions: dual time zone display, power reserve indicator, 24-hour sub-dial, date display and local time — all on a single dial. It is the most technically complex watch in the standard Carnival range by function count and the only Carnival model with a power reserve indicator.

Variants — Seven Configurations
Silver / blue / leather: Deep blue dial on silver case with leather strap — the most widely appealing combination. Blue technical dials are associated with aviation and precision instruments.
Gold / white / leather: White dial on gold-tone case with leather strap — the most formally dressed configuration. Warm gold hardware against a clean white multifunction dial creates the most legible and elegant combination.
Silver / white / leather: White dial on silver case — the highest contrast configuration for reading the multiple sub-dials clearly. The clean white field makes all five display elements immediately readable.
Silver / black / leather: Dark dial on silver case. The most assertive configuration — the multiple sub-dials appear as lighter registers against the dark field.
Gold / black / leather: Dark dial on gold-tone case — formal and statement-oriented.
Gold / blue / leather: Blue dial with gold-tone hardware — the warmest and most distinctive configuration. Warm gold accents and blue dial create an unusual colour pairing in the multifunction watch category.
Silver / steel bracelet: Silver case on a stainless steel bracelet — the most sport-business configuration and the only variant on metal rather than leather.
Five Display Functions
1. Local time (main display): Hour and minute hands on the main dial show current local time. The central seconds hand sweeps continuously.
2. World time / second time zone (6 o’clock sub-dial): A sub-register at 6 o’clock shows a second time zone simultaneously with local time. Set via crown adjustment (see setting instructions below). For travellers who need to monitor two time zones simultaneously, this is the practical function — both displays are always visible without switching modes.
3. Power reserve indicator: A sub-display showing the remaining stored energy in the mainspring as a percentage or arc. As the spring depletes (the watch has not been worn or wound), the indicator moves toward empty. A fully wound Seagull automatic typically holds 38–42 hours reserve. When the indicator shows below 20% the watch should be worn or manually wound.
4. 24-hour sub-dial: A register completing one revolution per 24 hours — the hand position shows AM versus PM without calculation. Combined with the dual time zone display, this allows confirmation of whether the second time zone reading is a daytime or night-time hour.
5. Date display: A calendar window at 3 o’clock showing the current date.
How to Set the World Time (Second Time Zone)
The second time zone at 6 o’clock is adjusted via the crown:
- Pull the crown out to the adjustment position
- Rotate the crown counterclockwise to set the time difference between local time and the second time zone
- Once the time difference is correct, rotate the crown clockwise to set the main local time correctly
- Push the crown back in
The second time zone tracks the offset from local time — set the time difference once and it maintains the relationship as local time advances.
Seagull 25-Jewel Movement
The Seagull movement used in this watch is manufactured by the Tianjin Seagull Watch Group — China’s largest movement producer and the manufacturer used by several Swiss brands for movement components. The 25-jewel count places additional synthetic ruby bearings at gear train pivot points beyond the standard 17-jewel configuration, reducing friction at more points in the gear train.
The movement supports both automatic self-winding (via the rotor) and manual winding via the crown — winding the crown clockwise adds reserve directly. The exhibition caseback presents the rotor in operation from the rear.
Power Reserve Indicator — The Unique Feature
The power reserve indicator is not available on any other watch in the standard Carnival range.
