E-Paper Display — How It Works

Electronic paper (e-ink) is a display technology that reflects ambient light rather than emitting it — the same technology used in e-readers like Kindle. The result is a screen that appears paper-like, with high contrast in any lighting condition including direct sunlight (where backlit LCD screens wash out). The E002’s e-paper display requires no backlight for reading — the display is visible in bright outdoor light without adjustment.
